Queer Running Collective (QRC) is a welcoming running group designed for queer and trans people who want to train in a supportive, affirming environment. The focus is on creating a space where everyone feels comfortable, respected and able to run without pressure or judgement. Each session is followed by a relaxed social, giving members the chance to connect beyond the workout. All sessions last around an hour and are led by experienced coaches Kole Fulmine and Sam Purnell, with support from group leaders Dalia Saris and Luke Kene. Runners who are confident covering 5km are invited to join the regular Tuesday evening sessions. Those completely new to running can attend the quarterly Open Evenings, which offer a friendly and accessible introduction to the collective. Weekly Schedule Tuesday – South London (7:00pm) Location: The Unicorn, 157–159 Rye Lane (Peckham Rye) A varied session incorporating speed play, sprint intervals, strength work and conditioning drills. This mirrors the East London session but takes place in South London. Thursday – Track Training (7:30am) Location: Victoria Park A structured speed and power-focused session on the track, combined with bodyweight exercises to build strength. Saturday – Social Long Run (10:00am) Location: Thingy Café, Hackney Wick An 8km paced run with regrouping points, followed by coffee. Bag drop available. Saturday – Runner’s Strength (1:00pm) Location: FitEast, Dalston A strength session designed to support distance running, focusing on full-body conditioning, lower-body endurance, mobility work and lifts such as deadlifts. Sunday – Marathon Long Runs (10:00am) Location: Thingy Café, Hackney Wick Extended endurance runs ranging from 20–35km depending on the training cycle (minimum 21km), typically at a steady 5:30–6:00 min/km pace. No bag drop — runners should bring hydration, fuel and warm layers. Whether you’re building fitness, training for a race or preparing for a marathon, QRC offers a structured and community-led space to run together.
