Run Dem Crew (RDC) isn’t a traditional running club — it’s a community-driven running movement that blends running with culture, creativity and social support. Founded in 2007 by DJ, poet and youth mentor Charlie Dark, RDC has grown into a diverse collective of hundreds of runners who explore London’s streets together, support one another and celebrate running as a shared experience rather than a competitive sport. RDC describes itself as “not a running club and we do not jog”, but rather a family and community where runners of all abilities can run together in groups based on pace. They also place emphasis on mentorship, inclusivity and positive culture, and run projects such as the RDC Youngers initiative to work with young people across London.
